Green Man Emporium is a family business creating and curating unusual gifts and homeware. Starting from a family workshop founded in 1999 by an antique and reproduction dealer from London’s East End and his Indonesian wife, combining traditional making with a love of old objects. Today, the business is run by their daughter Elle, an artist and designer, alongside her partner Michael, who has a background in sustainability and shares a love for history. Together, they curate antiques, reproductions, and handmade curiosities, drawing inspiration from nature and history. Some pieces are carefully sourced, while others are designed by Elle and made in her home studio just outside of Glasgow or in the family workshop run by her mother in Java.

We at Forge and Twine have an undying passion for curating objects and furniture with a somewhat natural magic to them. Our eyes are drawn to the items of everyday folk of the past, the primitiveness is itself the beauty we see. We wish to share this in a carefully expressed way to all of our customers.
